Years To Remember 4

There are many years to remember in the past for their special events.In this post I am trying to introduce some of those memorable years to the visitors.This is the fourth post of this type.These datas are collected from various compititive exam practice sets. • The famous Gupta Era (Samvat) was started in 78 A.D.
• The First National Income Committee was constituted in the year of 1949.

• Microsoft Corporation Established on April 4, 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen.

• Dell Inc. was established by Michael Dell on November 4, 1984.

• Apple Inc. Founded on April 1, 1976 by the founders Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne.

• Microsoft first introduced an operating environment named Windows on November 20, 1985.

• International Business Machines (IBM) was established on June 16, 1911.

• in 1996, Larry and Sergey, now Stanford computer science grad students, begin collaborating on a search engine called BackRub.

• In 1997, Larry and Sergey decide that the BackRub search engine needs a new name. After some brainstorming, they go with Google—a play on the word “googol,” a mathematical term for the number represented by the numeral 1 followed by 100 zeros.

• Microsoft Corporation invented DOS (Disc Operating System) in the year 1982.

• Dr. Edgar Frank Codd invented the first database in the year 1996.

• The inventor of fax machine was Alexander Bain. He invented in the year 1843.

• The first mouse that is wheel based was invented by Douglas Engelbart in the year 1963.

• Floppy disk was invented by Dr. Nakamats in the year of 1951.

• HTML stands for hyper text markup language. This language is used very often in the WebPages was invented by Tim Berners-Lee in the year 1990.

• James Gosling invented java in the year 1994. It is developed by sun Microsystems. It is an object-oriented higher level programming language.

• An object oriented script language was developer in the year 1995 by Brendan Eich of Netscape Communication Corporation. It was initially names as Mocha, again as live script later as JavaScript.

• Keyboard was invented by Christopher Latham Sholes in the year 1875.

• Keys were invented by Linus Yale Jr, a mechanical engineer, in the year 1862.

• Linus Torvalds invented linux in the year 1991.

• Buyukkokten invented orkut in the year 2004.It is a Social networking site.

• Oracle was invented by Bob oats and Larry Ellison in the year 1977.

• The very first super computer was introduced by Seymour Cray in 1960 at Control Data Corporation.

• From 1985-90 new designs of super computer were introduced.
  

• UNIX is one of the operating system of computer. Dennis Ritchie and Ken Thompson invented UNIX in the year 1969.

• Ubuntu, an open source operating system was developed by Mark Shuttleworth. It first release was in the year 2004.

• Rambaugh, Jacobson and Booch invented uml in the year 1994. Full form of uml is unified modeling language.

• Visual basic was invented by Microsoft in 1987. It is one of the world’s most widely used program development software.

• XML was developed by World Wide Web Consortium in the year 1966 under Sun Microsystems.
